Here you will find resources, games and activities covering alcohol, cannabis and vaping that can be used in informal groups, in clubs or on a one to one basis. Do use in conjunction with our interactive website for young people www.talkaboutalcohol.com

There are also detailed workshops on cannabis and alcohol for more vulnerable older teenagers, guidance, fact sheets and campaigns for 16 – 25 year olds including for those at University or in FE settings including on spiking, driving, consent, festivals, FAS and more.

Do use these resources together with our young adult website life-stuff.org with live feedback quizzes and advice on other issues such as money worries, gaming and gambling. We highly recommend that you book cpd training with our regional advisors by contacting kate@talkabouttrust.org – in most cases it will be funded thanks to grants and local commissioning.

Testimonials

“I just wanted to say how grateful I am for the resources you have sent us. I appreciate that these resources are available digitally from your website…but as I am sure you know PD/PSHE is a second subject to most who deliver it and having those packs makes a real difference to me as a teacher and are really appreciated.

I work in alternative provision, and we are just one of several connected centres across West Sussex and I think our other centres could benefit from your expertise and resources”.

Kathryn from Talk About Trust has been to York college several times to provide training and awareness sessions for staff and students.

The sessions have always been high energy and engaging.  The interactive games really brought home the serious facts in a fun and engaging way.

Everybody who attended the sessions has come away with more knowledge than they arrived with.

Thank you, Kathryn, and Talk About Trust for providing training and awareness of such a serious subject in an age appropriate, interactive, and engaging way.

Training and awareness sessions for staff and students
York College

Kathryn’s support through staff training around the current risks and support on drugs, alcohol and vaping has been paramount to us as safeguarding team and as a college to have this up to date knowledge so that we can support out students.

She is so kind, friendly, knowledgeable and very flexible within supporting us. With our staff training it has made staff feel more confident, knowledgeable and able to help student on an earlier basis.

Kathryn has come in to speak with students in tutorials and attended our fairs throughout the year at college to help directly support, advise students and create awareness of support services out there which is really key.

The wide scope of people Kathryn has supported at all levels has been important in keeping our students safe and its we hope to keep working with her in the near future.
