We are concerned that the vape industry and some consumer groups are trying to undermine the government's proposed comprehensive regulation of tobacco and nicotine products. This is happening via the submission of responses opposing the proposals and the worry is that this will affect the outcome of the consultation and reduce the government's powers under the Tobacco and Vapes Act.
We are keen that clear support for the proposals is conveyed and so would like to encourage you to submit an individual response.
What you can do
Step 1 – Go to the consultation online survey Tobacco and vapes: packaging, appearance and display - Department of Health and Social Care
Step 2 – Follow ASH's step by step guide Have your say on tobacco and vape packaging, appearance and display - ASH to submit your response. This shouldn’t take more than 10 minutes.
