Inverclyde Health and Social Care Partnership have partnered with The Talk About Trust to develop vaping resources aligned with the Curriculum for Excellence.
These resources:
o Provide accurate and up to date information on vaping, promoting informed choices that keep children and young people away from vapes and related products.
o Incorporate substance use risk-taking behaviour strategies and develop decision making skills through active learning techniques.
o Include strategies for enhancing self-esteem and resisting peer pressure to vape from the media, family members, peers and the vapes industry.
o Involved children and young people in the design of these resources, empowering young people to take ownership of their own health.
o Encourage a whole school approach, bringing Young People, Education Staff, Parents/ Carers and Communities closer together
