Cannabis traffic light cards

The scenarios in these traffic light cards are designed to enable discussion and are for participants to articulate what they think is happening.

The cards can be used in small groups and the idea is to categorise each scenario as red for unsafe, orange for not sure or could end up being dangerous if a wrong decision is made or green for yes, the situation is fine.

As an alternative, the emoji cards or the risk continuum cards  can be used in this activity. The risk continuum cards have descriptions such as safe/ unsafe, legal/ illegal, healthy/ unhealthy, high risk/ low risk. These can be placed at opposite ends of the room; the young people can then actively choose where they think the scenario fits on the risk continuum.

The scenarios are also excellent to use as conversation starters on a one-to-one basis to talk about cannabis use.
